Best advice you’ve ever been given?
Treat others how you want to be treated.
You do a fair bit of globetrotting. Where’s somewhere that’s influenced your style?
It would have to be Italy. I just love the timeless elegance of the women over there – they buy clothes that never date and never go out of fashion.
Where has been your favourite travel destination so far?
That’s such a hard question! It would be three or four different places. Africa, a place in Italy called Taormina that I adored, New York for fun and Byron Bay for relaxing.
What are the top three hotels you’ve stayed at?
In Venice, the beautiful Bauer Hotel – it’s right on the canal and is just amazing. In Uganda, the Windy Lodge, and Soho House in New York, because it’s always so much fun!
Name your favourite …
- Perfume: Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf. My mum
bought it for me last Christmas and every time I wear it I get
complimented so it’s a keeper.
- Moisturiser: Youth Cell by Skin Doctors. I love it.
- Mascara: I switch all the time but at the moment I’m using Lancome.
- Shampoo: Redken is the best for my hair.
- Cleanser: I just use sorbolene wash with my Clarisonic MIA – it’s this vibrating facial wand that cleans right into your pores
Can you tell us about the charities you support?
I’m very privileged to be the ambassador for SIDS in their 25th year, the Sydney Children’s Hospital upcoming Sunshine event and Layne Beachley’s charity Aim for the Stars Foundation, which helps young girls. I’ve been an ambassador for the Breast Cancer Foundation for the past 15 years and have been sponsoring a boy through World Vision for about 10 years. I also give money to UNHCR monthly. I’m really passionate about my charity work.

You were diagnosed with scoliosis (curvature of the spine) as a teenager. How do you look after your back now?
The one thing that helps me more than anything is Pilates. I do reformer and mat classes at least two to three times a week. I absolutely adore them and if I don’t do them I really notice a difference. If my back’s really troubling me, I treat myself to a massage every now and again.

What have been your top three health rules to live by since then?
Exercise regularly, eat healthily 80% of the time and treat yourself the rest, and sunscreen to look after your skin.

People ask you about how you stay in shape. What’s your secret?
I’ve just been doing Eat Fit Food 10-day detox, which I’ve really enjoyed. It’s great to kick-start your health. The whites of my eyes are brighter, I feel better, I’ve got more energy, and it’s taught me how to control my portion sizes, especially at night.
