Lauryn Eagle to represent Australia at the world ski titles

FEMALE water ski trio — Kelsey Feros, Leanne Hickey and Lauryn Eagle — and male competitor Peter Procter will represent Australia at the world titles later this year after a gruelling qualification criteria.

Eagle dominated throughout the seven-race series, winning every event to easily finish as Australia's open-woman champion.

Her top score of 60 placed her in prime position to win a formula one world title to add to her formula two championship win in 2005.

She finished third in formula one in 2009.

"I don't think it's ever been done in the women's to win all races," said Eagle, of Peakhurst.

"I need a world title in the formula one. It's been my aim for a while.

"I have boxing to concentrate on, so I'll probably give racing a bit of a break after this."

Eagle plans to have one more fight before the world championships.

Danebank School student Kelsey Feros, of Sylvania Waters, finished as the top women's junior with an eight-point margin on second place.

Feros won four of the seven races, finished second in two and fourth in another to win the junior Australian title.

In the men's, Peter Procter, of Cronulla, qualified as Australia's No. 2, finishing four points behind winner Chris Stout. Procter won two formula one races.

Meanwhile, Leanne Hickey dominated the formula two event qualifying first.

The world titles are in Queensland in September.
