Melissa's advice will make you red-carpet worthy

Paris Hilton is famously known to slip her slender party girl frame in and out of several wardrobe changes in a day, as long as some sponsor pays her to.
So who would ever picture her other than always immaculate?
Australian lifestyle blogger Melissa Hoyer, who has been in the business for decades, has been close enough to spot the US socialite's dirty collar.
As a popular style commentator on TV and radio back home in Sydney, Hoyer has interviewed them all, "except Angelina Jolie".
She recalls: "Paris Hilton, she was one of those I found grubby. Dirty around the collar, and her make-up looked like it was put on the night before."
Hoyer, a beauty scene influencer, was in Singapore last Friday as guest of P&G to unveil the haircare brand's new line-ups from Pantene and Vidal Sassoon.
She also addressed women on how to romance our crowning tresses (or the remains of it) with a head spa from Head&Shoulders and Clinicare.
And let's face it, girls, which one of us does not want to be able to toss our curls at the next Hugh Jackman?
Hoyer, who's mum to a 10-year-old boy, co-hosted a TV show with Aussie actor Jackman for five years.
"Hugh has no fashion sense. He's not fashionable, nor a fashion victim. He would be styled for the show. I remember him going, after make-over, 'I look good, don't I?' He's just such a lovely person, no airs."
And no, Wolverine does not shed nor have dandruff.
The most perfectly coiffed-to-go is pop star Kylie Minogue, also from Down Under. "She is never not red carpet-worthy."
Hoyer adds: "Nicole Kidman is another one who never has a stitch wrong, everything just perfect. A head-turner.
"Whereas Cate Blanchett, who is one of our best actresses, is very simple. She can be crossing the road, and no one would rush up and bother her for autographs and pictures.
"And she is so naturally luminous."
According to Hoyer, big hair will always be in.
"Look at Adele, Lady Gaga, Sarah Jessica Parker."
(Frankly, I'd rather not.)
"There is a game to play, for celebrities, you have to look always ready for the red carpet."
She herself can be ready "in 10 minutes, good to go".
What about a grubby male star then? Any?
A reflective pause before Hoyer responds on the late Aussie actor Heath Ledger: "Well, one shouldn't speak ill of the dead, no, it'd be tacky to say anything."
So she was dead silent about that then.
