Melissa Hoyer joins news.com.au as entertainment editor-at-large


The managing director of NewsLifeMedia, Nicole Sheffield, today announced the appointment of Melissa Hoyer as entertainment editor-at-large for news.com.au.

From this week Ms Hoyer will be a contributor to news.com.au with a regular weekly column and opinion pieces; entertainment and celebrity news stories; and video features from events around the country. Her first story will see her caught up in Bieber fever as she goes behind the buzz at his only live, outdoor Australian appearance.

Ms Hoyer is also a regular media commentator on style and pop culture issues on TV shows including Sunrise, The Morning Show and is also part of the regular, nightly panel show on politics and current affairs, Paul Murray Live on Sky News. Ms Hoyer writes regularly for many publications and has her own lifestyle and pop culture blog and has large Twitter and Facebook followings. She is the regular lifestyle/pop culture commentator on 2DayFM's Kyle and Jackie O show; and writes a weekly wrap-up column each Friday about all things ‘social’ and ‘media’ for the industry bible, MediaWeek.
