FORMER top model, magazine editor
and TV presenter Deborah Hutton has landed a weekly gig back on the box,
as host of the Foxtel Movie Show.
And Hutton has scored one of the biggest names there is for the
launch of FMS an interview with Mr Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman.
As Hutton says: "It doesn't get much better than that.''
She
sat down with Jackman yesterday com afternoonnteto record a chat about
everything from nteJackman's movie Les Miserables and his to his
ntecurrent project, The Wolverine.
FMS launches on the Foxtel
Movies Channel at 6pm on Wednesday, December 5, and on Arena on December
9, also at 6pm. The half-hour show described as "Entertainment Tonight
meets Inside the Actor's Studio'' will also play on Foxtel's rebranded
new film channels from January.
"I now have a legitimate excuse to indulge in even more movies,'' Hutton says.
"The show will have a different look and feel relaxed but lively and engaging.''
Joining
Hutton as roving reporter is walking TV encyclopedia and media
commentator Andrew Mercado, who has netted another big name Rebel
Wilson for a chat for the first show.
Bridesmaids, the movie
which gave Wilson her big break in Hollywood, is one of the highest
selling on demand movies in Foxtel's history.
FMS executive
producer Neradine Tisaj says the show aims to help viewers navigate what
movies to watch at home both on Foxtel nteand at the cinema.
"As
well as Deb and Andrew, we'll have guest interviewers, which will
include actors, directors and presenters interviewing their co-stars and
celebrity friends,'' she says.
"The aim is a fast-paced,
`younger' movie show not straight-out reviews, but lots of snapshots,
sneak peeks, red carpet gossip and glamour and chats,'' she says.
"Scoring Deb as host is perfect. It will be great to see her flexing her interview and hosting muscles on a weekly basis.
"She's mad about movies and has been hitting the media screenings to prepare.''
