BONDI Beach resident, model, television personality, lingerie and
jewellery designer Annalise Braakensiek is one very busy lady and
certainly lives by her mantra "Give it all you've got. Laugh lots and
love even more."
How long have you been designing for Bras'n'Things?
How long have you been designing for Bras'n'Things?
We are about to celebrate four years of "Annalise" being in store next week. I absolutely love designing lingerie.
What inspires your collections?
My inspiration is vast and varied, and depends greatly on where I'm
travelling as well. It can be a vintage frock with an amazing print,
colour, ruffle or gorgeous frill detail I've found in a flea market, to
latest runway trends, art, films and even people on the street.
Tell me about your jewellery range:
I did a double major in jewellery design and sculpture at COFA.
Jewellery design is my first vocational dream and having my signature
jewellery collection is truly a dream come true.
What is the most prized fashion possession in your wardrobe?
My antique Native American jewellery my late father gave me.
What do you love most about Bondi Beach?
I love it here. Especially the fact you can feel like you're in Hawaii, Bali or Byron, but you're a minute away from fab restaurants and bars, a vibing community, and not far from my agency, yoga school or the big smoke.

Favourite local shopping destination:
As much as I never thought I'd say this (being a supporter of little
businesses), I find the Jungo my fave destination for shopping (apart
from vintage markets in Surry Hills and Bondi).
Favourite local cafe:
To be honest, I cook nearly every meal at home but I love the
organic shop on Gould St for brekkie and lunch and juices, Iku (best
salad dressing ever), my mate's cafe Birichina, Panama House and The
Squirrel for a bevvie and a nibble is fab.
